Entertaining, good fun, but a different tone overall than the original was. While the first ‘Jumanji’ was dark and explosive, this sequel is just an enjoyable ride. Then again, maybe it wasn’t Kasdan’s intention to replicate the famous movie that gave us one of Robin Williams’ most iconic roles (and can you blame him?) This is not a failure by any stretch of the imagination, but it is definitely not the movie you were expecting when you heard ‘Jumanji’ would have a sequel. Kids will love it, adults can lay back and enjoy the ride.
